Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about psychology and counseling services.

What is counseling like?

Counseling sessions provide a safe and confidential space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Your counselor will listen attentively, offer support and guidance, and help develop coping strategies to address challenges and achieve personal growth.

How can counseling help?

Counseling can help individuals gain insight into their emotions and behaviors, improve their relationships, develop effective communication skills, and enhance their overall well-being. It provides a non-judgmental and supportive environment for personal growth and self-discovery.

How long does counseling last?

Sessions are 45 minutes, and we recommend that all clients partake in a minimum of eight sessions to begin to see the full effects of the counselor-client relationship and to implement what we discuss in sessions.

Is counseling confidential?

Yes, counseling is confidential. Your counselor is bound by professional ethics and legal obligations to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of client information. Information shared during counseling sessions will not be disclosed to others without the client's consent, except in situations where there is a risk of harm to self or others.

How much does counseling cost?

The cost is $130 per 45 minute session.

Do you offer online and in-person sessions?

We do offer telehealth services, as long as the client is geographically located in Arizona during each session.

Do you take insurance?

We do not accept insurance.

Does Krell Counseling provide diagnoses?

Because teens and young adults are still changing and growing, it is the policy of Krell Counseling to not diagnose. We recommend seeing your doctor or a psychologist to provide a diagnosis. If this is necessary, your counselor will be able to provide further guidance in this process.
